To get a CDL in Hawaii, study the CDL Manual to prepare for the test. Then go to one of the driver licensing offices on Oahu, Maui, Hawaii or Kauai to complete the CDL application, verify your identity and age, show your completed medical examiner’s certificate, pass all required tests (including written and driving) and pay fees for the service. The application fee is $30, the general written test fee is $15 and other specialized tests are $5 each.
