CDL Manual Eastern means the Eastern time zone of the US. It includes New England and the states of the eastern seaboard south to Florida. Other states further west are also in this time zone for a total of 23 states. This large and populous region has many busy ports and other businesses. Transportation is key to the economic success here.

All modern businesses rely on truck drivers to move goods from manufacturers to distributors to retailers and to individual customers. Large manufacturers send out another semi-trailer full of goods every five minutes. Regional distributors deliver to retail shops and restaurants every day. Hundreds of drivers deliver boxes to homes and businesses daily in most cities.

Any driver with a commercial drivers license (CDL) can find good jobs here. New York City could not survive without truck drivers. Ports near Washington DC keep trucks busy hauling shipping containers. If you don’t like long hauls, there are literally thousands of local delivery routes.

A CDL manual is your passport to a steady career in transportation. Study the CDL manual for your state. With good study habits, common sense and good driving practices you will pass the CDL test. If you want to drive tractor-trailers you must pass a driving exam. For some people a truck driving school helps. Driving schools will prepare you to pass the CDL test. They will teach you to be a better driver.

With a CDL you can drive almost any surface vehicle. It all starts with a CDL manual. You must earn a CDL in your home state. Find your state in this list of eastern states. If you cannot find your state, look for more options at the end.
